Pixar Undergraduate Program 2024
Over the summer of 2024, I was given the opportunity to intern at Pixar Animation Studios as a Pixar Undergraduate Program (PUP) Intern where I was trained in all aspects of the technical director pipeline. I also went on to create a short film with my fellow PUP interns

Demo Reel
a collection of projects made during the Pixar Undergraduate Program (PUP) internship including modeling, shading, lighting and compositing, and FX
projects include a 3D castle environment, butterfly fireworks FX on a Coco scene, a modeled and shaded vintage lantern prop, a lit and composited Riley shot, and the PUP short film Upstream
Independent Project Process
During the final 2 weeks of the internship, we were allowed to create anything of our choosing. I chose to create a fully realized 3D environment from scratch, including designing the 2D concept art to final render, taking the project through the Pixar pipeline. Below is the process of how I created this piece from concept and inspirations to final renders

Vintage Lantern Process
Below is the process including inspiration style images and sketching out the prop to figure out the storytelling aspect and shape language of the prop. I wanted the prop to have a feeling of nostalgia and history | responsible for all aspects including concept, modeling, shading, lighting, and compositing

Short Film: Upstream
group project made alongside 8 other PUP interns about learning to let go of the voices in your head - Upstream | responsible for set modeling, set dressing in Maya, partial shading in Flow and Blender, and partial lighting and compositing in Blender, Katana and Nuke
Early Concept Development
Here are some of the early concept art development for the waterfall in the mind world from the end of the film as well as the janitor's closet from the beginning of the short film
